Rivaroxaban 20mg with Citalopram/Paroxetine

Anyone taking Rivaroxaban 20mg who are also on Paroxatine or Citalopram? Or any views on this? I was prescribed Rivoraxaban after a first ever AFib episode on 4th Oct. Side effects are horrible. Now I have found out Rivaroxaban should be completely avoided or taken with caution as I'm on Citalopram. Should I stop taking them or would it be safe to take 5mg Rivaroxaban instead?

It doesn't come in 5 mg.. I'm on 10 mg though.

I am only on rivaroxaban , I have no experience with combination. However the reduction of dosage of rivaroxaban should only be done under a doctor's instruction. The side effects do get better, 7months of being on rivaroxaban since March 2021,I don't even remember am on blood thinners. My D_dimer levels are not within normal range of <500ng , am still at about 1000ng. Taking the rivaroxaban till December 2021 then redo the test and pulmonary angiogram. So stick with doctor's advice., You will be fine.

It is the fact that Rivaroxaban should really be avoided when taking Citalopram that is worrying. I was getting bad gum bleeding with both. I have stopped taking Riv after speaking to GP and bleeding has stopped.
