That is a good pace you have going on there. I bet that blew of the morning cobwebs. 😀

I should confess that my feet hurt. I wondered whether there is any room in my life for a leisurely stroll or am I going to be always trying to beat my records for pace and time.

I have always walked and didn’t start to look at my pace until I started running, then when running had to take a back seat for a while I started to work on my pace on my walks the same as my running. I am now In Training for a half marathon in less than three weeks away which I plan to walk. I have speed training sessions which are short and fast and I have distance training sessions which are long and slower, the hope is by the time I finish my HM all the different training sessions will come together and it will give me a good time in a distance That i was ready and prepared for. I found that I have a personal competitiveness in me. I am really not bothered about what everyone else is doing but I do like to beat myself so I find giving myself an event to train for regulates that part of me who would just keep going for pace until I got upset there was no more pace to be had. If you feel like that, you could start with a little virtual medal to aim for. They seem to start around £10. Or you could look at an event that has a cut off time that you could walk the distance in. There are many events starting with 3km upwards and there is also Parkrun which is for walkers too (that is 5km). My HM has a cut off time of 4 hours, so I am hoping to come in around 3 hours - 3:20 min for 21.1km,

Wow! You are going great guns svgeeks - very well done!
