Well done svgeeks - you are doing soooo well!
Do you have any tips or tricks to share on staying motivated? You are doing super.
Thank you, runswithdogs. I have not, by any means, cracked the code. However, reminders and nudges seem to work for me most of the time. I use my phone to remind me that I need to floss my teeth every evening. My Apple Watch bugs me regularly to walk, stand, breathe deeply. I log my times whenever I walk the Stanford Dish area (dish.stanford.edu) and try to beat my best time. I am also lucky to be living where the weather is almost always great. Being retired, I also have the luxury of time. I sold my car in 2014 and didn’t replace it. I use my wife’s car for longer distances but prefer to get around on foot or on my bicycle.
Hi runswithdogs,
I'd like to suggest reading Charles Duhigg's The Power of Habit (charlesduhigg.com/the-power.... See his YouTube video to get an idea: youtu.be/OMbsGBlpP30
If you are interested, I will have more suggestions later.
