Hello All my name is Tony Lee, was diagnosed with prostate cancer April 2018... Iam currently on active surveillance... my score was Gleason 6 with 5 out of 12 cores positive. At first I was scared and didn’t know what to do... however I changed a few things and decided to trust The Lord Jesus Christ... Thanks for letting me join, God Bless!!

Trust your faith but also be sure to get quarterly psa tests and consider testing using the biopsy. And, of course, a second opinion on your pathology malecare.org/second-opinion...

How long does the lab (Labcorp in my case) normally keep biopsy slides?

I don't know....a quick phone call to Labcorp should answer that for you.

10 years for labcorp

Excellent. Your biopsy is less than six months old. Should still be useful for many of the different tests. Work with your urologist on that

in reply toDarryl

My biopsy is 3 1/2 years old. It will still work.

While fresher is better, for some of these tests, 3 or 4 years will work.
