I have been diagnosed as having idiopathic peripheral neuropathy but mine seems a lot different to the people I’ve read about as I have pain in neck and shoulder blade and loss of balance which is worse when the pain is bad and have to use a tri walker or I cannot go out without falling, I’m wondering is there anyone suffering with the same symptoms and has anyone found any medication which helps with the loss of balance my dr is sending me to see a rheumatologist but I can’t see how that’s going to help but the loss of balance is ruining my life

Loss of balance, neuropathy
Hiya, my GP said I have this and started me on Gabapentin. Like you I get really sore neck and shoulders, I don't get the balance thing though. I'm not convinced this is what I have but maybe my bones? Symptoms I get are pain in knees, back, neck, shoulders, fingers and sometimes my feet. Hope you get better with your balance that must he frightening.
A neurologist is needed, as your symptoms may be related.
Neurological disorders can act in bizarre ways. Sometimes I have severe shoulder and arm nerve pain...then it goes away like it was never there.
This does NOT help in obtaining a diagnosis! 😡😡😡
I have the same pain, i was recently diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy you must get in to see a neurologist they can give you the best treatments. Have you seen a neurologist yet? They are the specialist who treat this disease, there are a few good medications to help with your symptoms but you really should see the neurologist to find the med that is best for your symptoms, hang in there and let us know what they do for you.
