I need help

I have so many painful diseases. I am dying of cirrhosis of the liver, pancreatitis, calcification of pancreas, diabetic neuropathy (not diabetic) arthritis, degenerative disc disease, ect. I'm on Colorado Medicaid. I was on Kaiser Permante (with Medicaid) but the state killed that. I am lost. I've been on pain management for over 30 years and suffer EXTREME ANXIETY ATTACKS. I don't know where to go?! The Medicaid people don't care. I have, very fortunate, a 3 month extension with my PCP but then I'm lost. Anyone in Colorado that can help?! Thanks. Tara

Thank you. I am on Medicaid still, as I'm terminally ill, but Kaiser Permanate (my HMO) dropped Medicaid in my region. My PCP that prescribes all of my meds including pain meds works at Kaiser. Medicaid is sending me to a Medicaid clinic that I was at before Kaiser. I cannot find one pain management Dr to take me, one Medicaid Dr to take me. I found one but she wants me on Suboxone?! Umm, no! I'm not stupid. I know about Suboxone as I was on it briefly. Sadly, I'm being treated like a drug addict. I'm just sick, pain, tired. I can't take being treated like this. I didn't make me sick. All I live in is pain and more pain. I am hopeless. Thanks for responding.

No Suboxone. If I were to have a pancreatic flare like I am now, I would have any pain med blocked my the suboxone. This drug binds tighter to your opiate receptors and only partially fills them. If you take an opiate for a flare the suboxone will "kick it out" hence, negating that med. It's not an answer for chronic pain, not for me. It's highly addictive and as it's an agonist/antagonist it only partially fills the opiate receptors. You can go into physical withdrawl if taking an opiate while on it.

Thank you for your concern but I am not suicidal. I'm simply being honest. I'm young, I already just exist. I fear my life will be almost non-existant if I can't find a Dr that can help me find out why this is happening to me. I'm not suicidal. You are mistaken.

Whomever katidid is TY for your concern

I am not/was not suicidal. I have extreme panic attacks and the fact that I lost my Dr, pain meds and was not being heard made me very uncomfortable.

Thank you. My Son came in from Austin and found me a GREAT Dr with the University of Colorado in a neighboring town. She actually read my chart and knew something about me before our initial visit. This was a HUGE RELIEF! I HUGE FIND! She is understanding, compassionate and states that I do have one of the most painful health conditions that supercedes any opiate mandated protocol. I forget to trust in God, that he has my back and let fear rule me.

To everyone out there struggling like me DO NOT LOSE HOPE! When I was at my lowest I through out my higher power and gave into fear. That, my friends is not only bad but can self harm in numerous ways. PLEASE BELIEVE THAT YOUR ANSWER WILL COME! Don't forget that! Have faith. If you aren't spiritual, have faith in you! I forgot all of this and thankfully things turned out well for me. Thank you katidid. Idk you but I thank you!
