I strongly suggest you find a new GP and if possible a pain specialist. No decent Dr. Would just start a patient on pain pills and then continue them with no diagnosis! That's crazy. You need an MRI, CT scan or X-rays to shed light on whatever is going on. A Dr. Should never start treating something if he has no idea what he's even treating. And that's ridiculous for him to say there's nothing more he can do for you besides put you on a bunch of drugs to mask your pain. please find a new Dr. That can really help you. I'm so sorry for your pain and hope you can find some answers.

I can relate to your troubles, I have had a hip replacement and before that I had bursitus very bad, in so much pain and could hardly walk. Now I fell twice since my hip replacement and my leg is very week, hurts all the time hip and leg, bursitus which they will not take out. Shots don't work for me very long. Have a bad back after therapy for the bursitus, now can I hardly sit or stand for very long. Tried many different pain killers and none really work. Have better days when the weather is warm. Doctors can't seem to help me either. So I have been trying everything on my own, cannot eat anything salty or spicy, no milk products or sweets when I do feel even worse. Lost weight helped a little, I look up everything on the internet trying to help myself. Have you tried patches for pain? Good Luck with your problem. The last doctor was for pain management and he told me I will need to live with my pain the rest of my life. Don't go to one of those Doctors a waste of time.
