I'm newby to this group and wanted to throw a question out there. First off, I have an acoustic neuroma and found this out about 7 years ago via MRI. I've only been back to doc once to have another MRI done about 4 years ago and it had very little growth. I do have this ongoing funny feeling sensation in my head mostly when I drive. The only way I can explain it is feeling "off".
I'm getting ready to have all my upper teeth removed and have 5-8 implants. Should I be concerned that this procedure could cause me problems in regards to the tumor I have? I have bad infection in my teeth and I'm hoping this procedure might help with the weird head sensations I'm having.
Has anyone on here with a tumor had dental implants and if so any issues?

I’m not medically trained so this sis just my view, but I would be asking for a new scan to check on your AN anyway. I do recall people being misdiagnosed with dental issues/pain which were actually caused by the acoustic neuroma impacting on the trigeminal nerve. Obviously if you have a clearer cause for your detail pain, then that wouldn’t necessarily be the case for you. Good luck with it all. Lin
