Hi has anyone else been told that they have an AN by a consultant then referred back to GP?Was told in July 2022 that have a 1.2mms AN. Told by Consultant ENT that need a contrast scan. I have phone umpteen times regarding scan to eventually being told that I had been sent back to my GP. GP had done the contrast scan and radiology has sent report back to GP. Who has now had to refer me back December 2022 to ENT.
It took 9 months to get to see ENT first referred June 2021

Hi Karbob, sorry that you have had this experience. Do you live in UK and under NHS? If so ,Ent often do the initial MRI dependant on your symptoms and if AN is found you need a referral to an otolaryngologist and usually this is done by Ent ie you should not require re referral to Ent. I suggest you call up the Ent department and speak with the medical secretary yourself also. Always ask for paper copies of any consultation or results and keep them safe as information sharing across the NHS is poor . also if you go private as Gp may not be updated
Thank you for your reply. I am in UK. And also have copy of letter from ENT saying they will see me again. But neither me or my GP can get them to see me again. It a private company that I was sent to on Nhs. But you have answered my question to which I am grateful. Thought I was making a fuss about nothing. The communication from the private company has been appalling. I do have copies of letters which they eventually sent me. I will sort out a complaint letter
