Awaiting an MRI result which will be given in 15th July. My symptoms are severe dizziness daily all day, though better when I wake up for about half an hour. Feeling as though my sinuses are full and tickling my inner ear and constant clicking in my sinuses and left ear. Cant look left, down or up and sometimes so bad i cant see. Unable to wear my glasses and get double vision. Coukd this be an AN?

That’s such a tricky one as post nasal drip may explain congestion for which I guess you may have been or are already on Nasonex. It was that which originally triggered further investigation and discovery of my AN. Equally some feelings in the ear can also be replicated by AN.I sympathise with your desire for insight but, only the MRI is likely to answer this. I know that means waiting for about 10 days which is a painful wait.

If AN is discovered it may be likely that you will not receive treatment such as Gamma Knife, until a further MRI six months on demonstrates it has grown.

I have been very ‘lucky’, in having had a previous MRI for something else where, upon review, the tumour could be seen although much smaller. That demonstrated tumour growth and green flagged Gamma Knife.

The only way to tell is to see the Audiologist and get an MRI. Mine started out with muffled hearing in one ear. Nothing else. Long may it continue. Good luck.🦻
