Not sure what this is.

Hi everyone. I’m not sure I’m on the right community but here goes. I have left ear pain discharge, severe headache in the morning, postnasal drip resulting in the cough. I have had this often on for a couple of years. It has come back with a vengeance now. I’m dizzy, and have tingling down my left side of face. I also have Eye pain. It is not nasal polyps. I went to an ENT specialist last year and he was investigating my sinuses, and he really wasn’t sure what was going on. I couldn’t follow up because of Covid. I think I have something Going on deep in my ear. It is not an ear infection. Can anyone relate to this please.

That all sounds deeply unpleasant but not typical symptoms of an acoustic neuroma. Which tends to be single sided tinnitus, hearing loss in same ear, possible balance issues. Never heard of ear or eye discharge being an issue other than post surgery but others may say differently. You do however need it urgently checked out as i think if it’s an inner ear infection that can cause all sort of troubles, e the ones you are experiencing. Good luck, I hope you get it resolved as ASAP. Only way to get a AN diagnosed is to have an MRI scan.

Hi, Gardeningbuff, the nasal drip and any discharge with nose or ear doesn't sound like the usual symptoms, it wasn't in my experience. An MRI/CT scan would rule an acoustic neuroma out, hopefully it isn't and they will find an answer to your health problems soon. Best wishes
