Acoustic neuroma

Had surgery 5 years ago to shrink my acoustic neuroma. Haven't had scan for 2 years had scan 2 weeks ago and have been told its grown significantly anyone else experienced re growth

What are they going to do about the regrowth ?

I had surgery 2years ago and they left a small cuff of tumour on the facial nerve. 12month scan showed no change still awaiting results of scan done July 2021. Why did you have to wait 2years to have the scan?

It’s always a worry that they can grow back.

I'm just waiting to hear what they are going to do .there was talk of radiotherapy but will have to see the guy I spoke to on phone mentioned it the way they told me by phone took me by surprise n I got bit upset.After my last visit in September 2019 they put me down to be scanned ever 2 years

Hello. I had AN surgery 4 months ago and they also left about 10%. They told me that it would grow but didn't know how much and I would be monitored every 6 months with MRI. I'm from Canada. I would ask your doctor about regrowth.
