Hello all, I've recently been diagnosed with a Intracanalicular Vestibular Schwannoma. Does anyone else get a buzzing /vibration in the head when lying down or sitting resting in a quiet room? It is torturous!

I occasionally get buzzing if a sudden loud noise makes me jump or if I’m very tired. I’m post op now, nearly 6 months, but do get some weird & wonderful symptoms/side effects. But glad to have the tumour debulked and here to tell the tale. Take care & hope all goes well for you. B xx

Yes , I have a constant hissing noise, with a shooting pain on the back of my head if I move it to quickly or suddenly.

Hi Njjan Yes, I do, particularly when I'm tired. It's a very strange sensation. Not at all nice. I've always been very active. But this little tumour makes me very fatigued!

Thanks for all your responses. Tiredness definitely exasperates the Tinnitus and buzzing. I've had symptoms for over 2 years: dizziness, headaches, fatigue and Tinnitus. My doctor suggested I was a hypochondriac. I've been too embarrassed to go to him in fear of being judged. It's been a long road to get to diagnosis. I'm pleased to be able to get advice and support on here. I do you all are getting the help you need.

Thanks for your response. It's awful isn't it? I think I'm going to be stuck with this for a long time if not life because it's a small tumour. I doubt surgery will any time soon. Do you have any top tips on how to alleviate it?

Morning Kazgau,

Thank you for your reply. I wear earplugs to try and soften noises because come mid afternoon my head hurts with any loud noise. I do hope your next appointment gives you the answers and treatment you need.
