Hi reading the posts, just wondered if any of you are still working and how you cope.
I am retired though I do volunteer one afternoon a week in a charity shop.
I was fine when I woke up this morning but after doing some housework, I started getting tinnitus, a light headed feeling then felt nauseous. I had to sit down for a while, glad to be at home

I went back to work full time as a district nursing sister but was younger. Years later my balance is still poor but used to it and cope. Tinnitus I still have a b...dy nuisance. Turn etc slowly. Think about it first don’t do it suddenly. Take good care x x
I went back to work full time but still have trouble. Tinnitus, some hearing loss, balance issues, dizziness and vertigo have become my new normal and I just try to deal with it the best I can.
If your symptoms continue (vs. being a one-time thing) you might want to see an ENT and determine whether you need an MRI to check out a possible acoustic neuroma (AN). Tinnitus is not usually one of the first symptoms of an AN, but dizziness is, especially with quick head motions. If this is a one-time-thing, forget it, we all have those.
I am 75 and working (self-employed); I had gamma-knife surgery when I was 57 when an AN destroyed my balance and caused never-ending tinnitus. Good luck on your quest to determine your health condition.
I don't think you saw my first post, I do have AN, I had a scan in Jan. I have been hard of hearing in my left ear for approx. 5 years . I had an hearing test in Boots and the guy told me I should be referred because my loss was only on one side. No other symptoms until the tinnitus started late last year , then the rest over the last couple of months.
I have booked an hospital appointment for June which I know will be followed by second scan, I feel such a wimp but can't help being scared.
I was diagnosed a year ago and my symptoms are worsening as the tumor grows, it's hard to come to terms with what's happening to you but all you can do is accept how you are and just do what you can at that time, I'm scared when I think about having the operation and I'm scared thinking about having to wait for it, being scared comes with the territory unfortunately, good luck.
thank you , I have so many questions that I went to GP and she said most of my fears are normal. Hospital on Monday , to get date for scan, just want to get it done , good luck to you too.
I had GK on my 21mm AN 11 months ago. I work in engineering , the noise in the workplace really makes my tinnitus worse, they tell me to wear ear defenders but all I can hear is the ringing in my ears if I put them on, the noise isn't loud but constant and when I get home I feel fatigued and my tinnitus seems to take hours to calm down. I have cut my hours down to 4 hours now and it does seem better, luckily the company I work for have been really supportive, just wondering if anyone else feels fatigued after work and how it affects their tinnitus
