Can not comment on the cannabis part, but I did give some cbd oil ago, only used it for two days and had to stop, it made me feel funny and made my panic disorder go out of control which then made my T even worse 😔

Just shows how each person reacts in different ways. I`ve been using CBD oil for two months and i`ve noticed a reduction in my anxiety. T still there when i wake up, but not getting so stressed out about it

Hi drumcraw... I would be also interested to find out in cannabis oil would help Tinnitus. I live in Australia, I think it can be obtained here, but you have to go through your GP and then the GP has to apply to the Government ... I think? I have not investigated it myself, but if I do , I will let you know. Anything is worth a try? Will keep you posted !

well anything that might help is worth trying

I don't think CBD Oil has ever been illegal, as long as it has the THC / dope removed. There's a pretty good website I get blog updates from - Rewiring Tinnitus - and he did a piece recently extolling the virtues of this stuff. He didn't claim miracles for it, but he did seem to think it was having a positive impact, on both his T and his Menieres symptoms. It's on my list of things to try at some point anyway.

This is a question that has been coming up a lot recently, so I searched about six months ago on the PubMed database, which is a database of pretty much all peer reviewed medical journals and have found only one paper discussing the topic - and this seems to be theoretical rather than based on user experience.

You can see an abstract here: sciencedirect.com/science/a... but it seems to suggest that in theory, cannabis could make tinnitus worse.

It will be interesting to see what happens if use becomes more widespread.

Best wishes

Nic

I’m in San Francisco where it’s legal. I inquired with the UCSF tinnitus clinic and the canibis vendors or salons as I would call them. No success reported for the T but it dose reduce stress. Many T patients are reluctant to experiment for fear it will make the t worse.

I’m still hopeful it could help but like you, would like to hear other T sufferers experience with it.

Think we need to be clear about the 2 different things being discussed here - there's cannabis and then something very different, CBD oil. The former is illegal, in the UK at least, whereas the latter isn't.

I use CDB oil, I have Ménière’s Disease.

By way of background I’d say my Ménière’s symptoms are mild compared to some, it’s now been a year since having full on sweating, vomiting, vertigo attacks.

Initially after starting CDB just after the attacks lessened I had some of the best sleep I’d had for ages, I also definitely noticed a reduction in stressing about stuff.

Stress is a trigger for me and that was definately lower. It could be a placebo but I’m still taking it.

I’d say my T is worse since the attacks have lessened but from what I’ve read that’s to be expected so I’m not attributing it to CDB oil.

I’m keeping with it, not because I think it helps I’m sticking with all the changes I’ve made like low salt, no caffeine, betahistamine because the vertigo attacks are the worse.

So that’s my experience.

This is CDB oil from hemp without the THC.

I have Ménière’s disease as well but I had two head surgeries because of the vertigo so they put a stent to hold my inner ear open so fluid can drain and it took care of the problem because I don’t have vertigo anymore but I am deaf from the surgery. Does this CBD oil make you high? Stress is a big triggerfor me as well with having Tinnitus.

hi caligirl. the stuff that maes you high has been taken out so you get the other benefits from the plant, which nave been recognised as helping some conditions, i was merely wondering of anyone had taken the real thing or the oil and had any success take care. craw.
