Curcumin (Theracurmin) Improves Mild Cognitive Impairment and Memory - A Randomized Clinical Trial
What we call "Chemo-Brain" is a form of MCI resulting from cancer treatments including
chemotherapy
and also ADT in some of us with APC. This includes myself so I am very interested in this result.

tumour and menopause
I had a seizure June 21 and they found a tumour on my temporal lobe. Had it removed, well as much as they could and they also found another small one where they can’t operate. Found out it was grade 4 but since then had radio therapy and a years chemo pills. Through all this I felt ok with little side

Mammograms
diagnosed HGSOC December 2019. BRCA 2 somatic only. Have had standard chemo, debulking + 2 years of Olaparib and doing well to date. My question is around mammograms: what is the usual checks for ladies with OC history? I would imagine it varies widely however my GP stated it would be as normal, i.e

•
Chemotherapy
, followed by surgery, followed by more
chemotherapy
• You must have finished your first line

Finished chemo yesterday on a week break before starting Niraparib. My last scans showed a positive result to chemo and my CA125 results are normal.

MPN ET, Hydroxycarbamide & wrist pain
I'm not imagining this. My wrists hurt like hell. I can still do normal things okay, but I'm afraid of twisting motions. The discomfort disrupts sleep every night, though, apart from one night, it does not completely prevent me from sleeping. I have MPN ET. I'm on 12 x 500 mg hydroxycarbamide per

Update on chemo
Saw my consultant today over the start of chemo , he said as mine was at an early stage I am only having Carboplatin for an hour every session and as he told me in his words it’s “mopping up “ anything they didn’t see during my operation so fingers crossed 🤞 x

Breast cancer - mastectomy or not
Hi allI was diagnosed with Stage 4a high grade serous OC in September 2022 and I've just had my last post-surgery chemo (for the time being at least)😊. I'm BRCA2 and aged 60 and the hospital genetics team have been telling me about the risk of getting breast cancer (as if ovarian cancer wasn't enough

When a surgeon says he "got it all," it doesn't mean he did
Although cancers can be completely removed through surgery, cancer cells can also spread to lymph nodes and other parts of the body despite tumor removal, and follow-up
chemotherapy
might be necessary.

Hello, beautiful community. Thanks to all of you for helping me to learn how to manage my hypothyroidism. The new challenge is to get treated for Lymphoma(cancer of the lymph system. There is a guideline about some medications like any anti-inflammatory medications and some hormone replacement therapy

Fitbit or treadmill more accurate?
I just completed my W8, D3 run. I was using an 8 week program, so I did 30 minutes today. I suffered pretty horribly through my two 28 minute runs, so I took the advice here and slowed down just a bit. What a difference! No suffering at all! I’m really happy. I’m at not quite 2 1/4 miles on my Fitbit
