Hello, beautiful community. Thanks to all of you for helping me to learn how to manage my hypothyroidism.

The new challenge is to get treated for Lymphoma(cancer of the lymph system. There is a guideline about some medications like any anti-inflammatory medications and some hormone replacement therapy in the information provided. I'll check with the pharmacist but would like to get your feedback too. I'm wondering if anyone in this group is under treatment for blood cancer and still able to take levothyroxine and T3 with no change in blood results. Thanks for your help.

Have you discussed this with your oncologist, they are the experts and best placed to discuss the finer details of which other medications can be taken at the same time as any cancer treatment.

Great idea, but I thought it would bord her to dealth to ask to review the long list of my medications.I can ask her and most probably consult with the pharmacist at the Special Pharmacy from my Health Plan. Thanks

If/When you get an answer would you document it here, please?

I would love to know what their logic is if they say you shouldn't take thyroid hormone replacement while being treated for cancer of any kind.

Hi sunsettssr, I have Cll( Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia ) which is a Leukaemia and a Lymphoma. Not on treatment yet, on watch and wait,

had my thyroid removed 23years ago, I have not been told i cannot take thyroxine .

Not sure about T3, I don't seem to have any problems except a lot of fatigue.

Hi Sunsetssr

I had hodgkins lymphoma stage 3 and was treated with chemotherapy 8 cycles,

Oncologist were aware of my medications which was T3 and I carried on as usual with regular blood test.

I had access to 2 Oncologist nurses to contact for Q. Don't worry ask any thing that you are not happy with. Good luck
