refusing treatment how fast do people decline?
He is decided not to go for
blood
tests
that regulate his liver medications, he has decided not to interact with the GP and let himself decline. He has become more tired, his speech slower, clearly signs that the HE is getting worse.

HRT, low white blood cell count & NDT
She wanted a blood test doing first - I have been taking NDT for about 8 years (doing really well on it) and basically my GP didn't understand it, stopped calling me in for
blood
tests
and I haven't been for years.

Does it sound like PMR?
At the age of 56, my husband had to take over everything, and I hade to give up work Despite of negative
blood
tests
, my GP agreed to try out treatment for PMR and I started at 15 mg prednisone, but increased to 25 in aug 23. I am now down to 10.

newly diagnosed with copd
GP did chest X-ray,
blood
tests
& ECG, all was ok. Fast forward to November I was having a review of my BP MEDS as my BP was slightly too low & I was getting swollen ankles. This GP suggested I have a Spirometry as mentioned the ongoing breathlessness.

New to world of IBS - How do you balance your diet and still enjoy life?
I first pointed the finger at gluten sometime in 2023 and my GP ruled out coeliac disease and other nasties based on
blood
tests
and not the use of intrusive cameras. Personally I keep an open mind but I believe my IBS is "real" and not other potential problems.

Platelet blood work
Still awaiting HLA-B27
blood
tests
results. I received 2
blood
tests
today back 1) negative platelet associated antibody (PAA) and 2) negative platelet immunofluorescence (PIFT). No allo-reactive or no auto-reactive platelet antibodies. I have no idea what this means? Anyone know? Thanks

re:- White blood cell count on steroids
Just had
blood
tests
done and white
blood
cell count is high 16.4 10*9/L and am rather concerned, although as I understand this is a common side effect of steroids. Any experience of this please and reassurance would be much appreciated.

Incidence of Large Vessel Vasculitis in late diagnosis of PMR
My own relatively short undiagnosed journey to the eventual prednisolone and blessed relief consisted of increasing symptoms and approximately two-weekly
blood
tests
where after each one the GP read my results and apologised for being unable to suggest a cause of my increasing pain that was gradually

High blood pressure medication and fibro
The consultant had requested 6monthly
blood
tests
from the doctors and the nurse thought she had better check BP while she was at it. Has anybody else had a bad reaction from amlodipine?

Any advice and support for recently diagnosed
I had
blood
tests
which showed my testosterone was slightly high, I was told it was slightly higher than the range they would expect it to be, and from that they ‘think’ I have PCOS.

T3 too high?
This time my endocrinologist specifically asked me to have my
blood
tests
two hours after taking my normal Amour dose, as I've been having quite severe anxiety.

Request for advice looking for possible new diagnosis
and hoping that the GP agrees to start afresh, has anyone any advice on notes I should take with me when I can get in, questions I should ask, and
tests
I should definitely hope are included in any
blood
tests
? Thanks for reading if you got this far!

Not GCA
They kept me at 40mgs over the weekend, and then to wait for
blood
tests
scheduled for today. The specialist nurse rang this afternoon to say my bloods were really good, and as I had not had immediate relief from the preds, I have not got GCA.
