The gynaecologist asked me to repeat
blood
tests
in 4 weeks time. I’m quite stressed as nhs is not prescribing anything saying that my last results were fine. thank you

Another update….high platelets….
I have been under the care of an Haematologist for two years now, referred by my GP for consistently high platelet counts found during routine
blood
tests
. Platelets usually around 565, highest being 622.

I have a phone appointment every 6 months.Today, the registrar said he wants
blood
tests
done. That is the first time in 7 years that
blood
tests
have been mentioned! It's a positive step as it may indicate they are now following the Mayo Algorithm and NHS guidance.

About 6 years ago I had some a full set of
blood
tests
done and 3 years later I had more of which I was told that my LFTs were deranged and that they could t understand why the previous Doctor didn’t raise any concerns as my ALT levels were over 1200 and my AST in high hundreds.

Help with T3
I posted on here last week looking some advice on my latest
blood
tests
. I have had and underactve thyroid for almost 3 years but have been experiencing all of the symptoms that I had prior to being diagnosed (and taking Thyroxine - I have always been on 50mg).

Hepatic Encephalopathy suddenly much worse
He is in hospital - they have ruled out a UTI but say they have identified a problem from
blood
tests
- I don’t know what, my Mum is there but they haven’t told her much. Does anyone know why his symptoms would suddenly worsen despite no UTI? Would this be treatable? Thank you.

Is this thyroid?
I took them for a week and had a really bad reaction (shaking all the time, excessive sweating and blood pressure spiking) and called the consultant who told me to stop immediately that something else must be going on with my hormones..
Blood
tests
showed slightly elevated testosterone, total protein

Confused Again :(
She says my last lot of
blood
tests
were all normal. I wish I had wrote them down as she told me. She said T4 -12 and she said was normal. T3 - 4, she said normal, TSH 2.87, she said normal. I know that I do not feel good unless my T4 is 20 and TSH below 1.

Blood tests for PSP
Does anyone know what the blood test is called that, I have heard, you can get to check the potential for getting PSP/Parkinson's? Mum has PSP, her brother has Parkinson's and their sister has Benign Essential Tremors so it seems like it runs in the family. My sister and I would be keen to get checked

Fragile Skin and cuts, increased CRP and Chest Infection and reducing pred.
My mums foot/ankle with achilles issue was extremely puffy and it was worrying my mum so we went to gp and they suggested various things to try which seem to have helped but they did a general check over and they also gave me results of her latest
blood
tests
which showed her CRP had increased from 3

My anxiety is getting to me!
Not wanting to waste A&E resources I called my GP for some advice but predictably upon hearing chest pain they sent me to A&E where I went through the usual Normal ECG,
blood
tests
and despatched home.

Possible GCA and Treatment Questions
They immediately gave me a CT scan and started 1000mg prednisone IV for the next 3 days, taking regular
blood
tests
each day. I would continue with 60mg a day for the next 2 weeks after that and reduce by 10 mg every two weeks.

Undiagnosed and confused
My latest
blood
tests
show: TSH: 7.07 munit/L T4: 14.1 pmol/L T3: 5.0 pmol/L TSH receptor antibodies: 3.98 unit/ I have been told by different doctors that this could be subacute thyroiditis, could be Hashimoto's or was even told that the blood results could be an error!

Normal inflammation blood markers- PMR symptoms
Of course now my
blood
tests
won’t be accurate and the rheumatologist isn’t convinced it’s PMR since blood markers for autoimmune inflammation were normal. Anyone else have normal
blood
tests
but confirmed PMR diagnosis? I’m worried about pain returning (I couldn’t use my arms or wipe my bottom.

Hypothyroidism Help please - Blood test results
Last
blood
tests
were TSH 0.10 and T4 22.6. GP has reduced my Levo dose however the blood test was done without my knowledge - I went for a FBC, liver function, and serum lipase test, plus B12 etc - so I hadn’t arranged the blood test for early morning. I will discuss that with GP!

NHS IVF process
Have had my scans and
blood
tests
, which were all ok. Have an appointment with the fertility consultant tomorrow to get husbands sperm results and discuss next steps. We have been told that we will be eligible for one ivf attempt on the nhs by our consultant.

another infection!!
After
blood
tests
it was decided to start with an antibiotic ointment and hold off oral antibiotics...just keep watch on symptoms. Sometimes at lower doses of pred (less than 8mg) I have wondered if my immunity is still compromised.
