There was a but…..concerned about thyroid, many
blood

today is a good day
Today was the day that I needed to get my 6 monthly
blood
tests
done and to get my results from the previous tests. All results came back good (this is for my HIV) and I have met all parameters.

Update on cholesterol levels
This was only detected due to investigation following lifelong high cholesterol (ldl 4.9) Long story short, following 6 weeks of Rosuvastatin 10mg and a relatively strict Mediterranean diet regime (though my diet was pretty good before). my latest
blood
tests
have my ldl down to 1.5.

I have been diagnosed recently after many
blood
tests
and countless appointments to doctor. I got diagnosed straight away once I mentioned my mother has got this condition for over 8 years now and so does my 29 year old sister. I am 34 by the way.

blood tests for t3 &levo
Hi 👋 I usually take both my 100mcg levo and 10mcg t3 at 6am each morning. I have a blood test at 9am to test my levels and wondering what time would be best to take them both for for most accurate results I think t3 should be 8-10 hours before so would that mean taking extra dose at midnight t3?

Awaiting phone call from GP
I am on 6 monthly reviews with the consultant,
blood
tests
and ultrasound scan. The ultra sound scans appear to show no portal hypertension/variaces which is good.

T3 too high?
This time my endocrinologist specifically asked me to have my
blood
tests
two hours after taking my normal Amour dose, as I've been having quite severe anxiety.

Hospital Update
Lots of scans and
blood
tests
later we know the following; - pain is from fluid on the lungs, which has reduced (but still prevalent) since her last scan in September - she still has ascieties in her tummy, despite being on diuretics, they can’t increase these further as already at max dose - her

Does it sound like PMR?
At the age of 56, my husband had to take over everything, and I hade to give up work Despite of negative
blood
tests
, my GP agreed to try out treatment for PMR and I started at 15 mg prednisone, but increased to 25 in aug 23. I am now down to 10.

Latest results from the INSPIRE project - how doctors diagnose neuropsychiatric symptoms in lupus
Medical
tests
, such as brain scans or
blood
tests
, aren’t very helpful for identifying NP symptoms, particularly some types of common symptoms like headaches or brain fog, but were important in ruling out other causes.

What happens if Prednisone isn't taken for PMR?
My questions are: 1) can RA raise inflammatory
blood
tests
too - maybe the
blood
tests
can mean RA, and not PMR? 2) If I have PMR will it burn out on its own regardless of whether or not I take Prednisone?

Is it RA?
He sent me for X-rays and
blood
tests
. CPR was raised, vitamin D slightly lower than recommended at 49. My x-rays showed arthritis in both shoulders and one elbow.....still waiting for my RF to come back.

However
blood
tests
showed no inflammation so was given anti-sickness pills which eventually worked. I have been monitored by phone calls and
blood
tests
by my Haematologist and when speaking this week it has been decided I go back onto HU - 500 mg 7 days week. Platelets 687 and WCC 12.6 .

Follow up call with Endocrinologist
The blood test results came back and showed that I had swung completely the other way in the 8 months I was on carbimazole and actually was now hypo- the automated system told me to half my medication and get
blood
tests
every 8 weeks.

radiotherapy
Does anyone know if radio therapy (breast) if you’re already on thyroxine might affect levels/
blood
tests
at all? I had radio this week but a test coming up in 6weeks to check levels following a thyroxine increase while on tamoxifen.

Why can blood tests be so different on retest 4 weeks later & better not to react.
Well 4 weeks ago I had liver tests that showed ALT over the recommended levels.Sent docs & myself into full reaction level.Chat with nurse & pharmacist re diet & medication.Retest results back perfectly fine.On first test Alt 42 s be less than 40 .Today's result 27 without making any changes.Only thing

Request for advice looking for possible new diagnosis
and hoping that the GP agrees to start afresh, has anyone any advice on notes I should take with me when I can get in, questions I should ask, and
tests
I should definitely hope are included in any
blood
tests
? Thanks for reading if you got this far!
