TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) I am looking for a doctor who diagnosis TMJ and diagnostic test

I don’t know if this is relevant but I had acute pain which turned out to be due to this joint. The dentist took a mould of my teeth in the lower jaw and made a “ bite guard” to be worn at night inside my mouth. I was 100% sceptical but it has turned out to be a massive help and now 3 years down the line it is a treasured possession. Cost me ( UK) about £110 and worth every penny. I guess it depends on what is causing your problem as to whether a personalised bite guard might help.

I am not aware of a test but my dentist was who explained this to me. Hope that helps 😊
