Natural hormones as a supplemtn

Hello

Does anyone have any experience of a natural supplement (such as red clover or flaxseed)? Taking HRT (tibolone) didn’t suit me so I wanted to know if it was possible to use a supplement instead that works as well.

Thank you.

When I was suffering with menopause symptoms I was recommended to take sage by a lady in the health shop.

I didn’t want HRT at all, quite apart from the health worries about it, my sister took HRT and developed breast cancer.

So I took this ladies advice and tried taking sage and I never looked back or needed to try anything else.

It certainly helped me, but as everyone is different I can’t say for sure that it would work for you but it is worth a try.

Best of luck.

I’ve been taking solgar botanical female complex for about 5 years now - after 2 weeks I felt ‘me’ again - hard to describe but i was feeling really stressed, had achy limbs, infrequent hot flushes, poor sleep, but generally out of sorts, mood swings. My pharmacist (female) recommended. I was peri menopausal at the time - now post. It’s quite expensive so at some point I stopped taking it. Blimey - within 2 weeks I was ‘not me’ again. So I resumed. These days still get hot flushes but not so bad really and generally in good spirits !

Powdered flax/hemp seed is a good supplement. Add to yoghurt, soup, stews & cereals.

Do remember it can take 4-6 weeks to notice the full effects.

Good luck
