Beginner advice needed

I’m a 67 year old woman, I play golf. I’d say overweight by 10 lbs. I’ve read about the importance and benefits of weight lifting, particularly as you’re aging. I would to like to give this a go, slowly but surely. I have problems with a tennis elbow and golfers elbow and tension in my neck and shoulders. I’ve heard that strengthening your muscles can help relieve pain in these areas by not putting so much pressure on them. I would like to get started and help myself in any way I can, but I’m unsure about the best way to go. I don’t want to join a gym, I would just like to work at this from home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m a little older than you 71 but like you I’ve realised I need to do some strength training. I run 3 times a week and do yoga every day with Adrienne on YouTube. After hearing Stacy Sims talk on the Zoe podcast I’ve recommitted to do some strength training too. I was already a member of Fiton so I’ve found a series of exercises I can do at home. So far so good. I’m not a great fan of going to the gym so for me it will be online stuff for now. There are loads of videos on YouTube to help get you going. Good luck.
