Weight Training After Heart Attack

Hi All, I have a question which I hope someone can answer.

I had a heart attack back in 2020 and 3 stents fitted. I am a 58 Yr Male and have always tried to keep myself reasonably fit and active (Obviously not too well! :) ) - I have resumed training and am doing weights twice a week (Monday and Friday - Not big weights but quite a few repititions) and Cardio on a Wednesday (Up to 30 miles on a bike.)

I would like to know is how can tell if I am doing myself any harm with this kinda traning progam. Whilst I feel kinda OK (I have always tried to drain myself when training, even before the HA (I still think I am 20!) ) I sometimes get out of breath just holding a conversation, but when I am training, seem to be no more short of breath than the next guy, and don't feel like I am running out of breath.

Has anyone else come across anything like this? (I will be honest say that since HA, some days I still feel invinsible and others that the slightest twinge anywhere in my body is the start of the end! - Illogical I know, I just cant help it!)

Anyway, and replies will be gratefully received and read.

(I don't want to bother the doctors with something that is trivial (And couldnt get in to see them anyway!)

Thanks

Hi, after reading your post, a thought just flooded my brain..I to am worried about my heart as I am getting older, 47 here.. I Jog, stretch, do hip mobility exercises and all that , I have greens every day in my protein shake ,I eat small meals, my fellow 47 year olds would be jealous of my slender figure. (I work hard at that tho). People always praise the people who have lost a ton of weight on their weighloss journey, but no one ever congratulates the person who has managed to stay lean their whole life! I love food to ya know!!! Anyway-like I said after reading your post , I thought you could highly benefit from yoga, or meditation, what this does for your body is incredible, don't knock it if you, sit back and say , ya not gonna do that!!what if you actually feel so good after , you have lowered your blood pressure, sleep better, your heart is stronger??? Your doing everything else right , but where is the calm exercise ? The YOGA??. I stress alot and my mom always says , I worry about this stress, so basically if I keep being stressed and (inflamed) if you will.. how will my body or heart react to that ? Despite a pretty healthy lifestyle.. it won't respond well, unless I'm calming it down just like I'm amping it up? Does this make sense?? 🤔
