Hi Darrie,

Best of luck to you, am sure you will be fine. If you dont think too far ahead and just take each day as it comes the you may find it easier. This is just an idea but I have found it helps me and it may help you. I use myfitnesspal app on my phone and I put in all my calories for the day - really was shocked at first by what I was eating but it has shown me the error of my ways. Are you calorie counting? What kind of diet are you going on?

This site is brilliant and so full of help and advice that I am sure you are going to start noticing a difference very soon..

Good luck again to you.

Lol xx

Hi Darrie,

I don't know anything about diabetes, but I have some new experiences on weight loss which improved my life significantly.

I completed 12 weeks (last Saturday) and I am going to use the system for 2-3 weeks more. These 12 weeks have seemed like a day and I've lost around 12lbs. As I already mentioned couple times in these blogs, my secret is in preparing food in the evening for the day ahead. This has helped me to avoid office traps such as sweets, fast food etc.

Several days ago, for the first time since my childhood, I run. Tbh. I was thinking that running is a terrible thing bringing you pain and discomfort, but quite opposite, it brings happiness and stress relief.

Honestly, I've enjoyed every day, and didn't miss that short-run pleasures and relaxation that food used to give me (nor feeling guilty afterwards) :)

Good luck and enjoy your trip to well-being...

Hi darrie, finally I've found someone in very similar boat to me. I too am type two diabetes and what a pain I find it! I was allmost 16 stone when I started on here, now I'm 15.2 and I have a long way to go. I have found this site very helpfull however. I try to keep active mainly by walking on a daily basis. This is sometimes very hard because I suufer dailly with burning foot pain. However I try to grin n bear it and carry on. I find my fitness app very helpfull for this. Like someone mmentioned above I'm trying to aim for little chunks for eg try to lose 7 pounds in 3 weeks and then carry on. And aim for another 7. I find that that putting what I've eaten into the system and it working out my daily calorie intake and what's left extremely helpfull. I wish u luck on yur journey x
