Tricky one - unless making yourself its hard to know!
An educated assumption would be stay away from anything deep fried like Sweet and Sour Balls, prawn toast, spring rolls - all my favourites!! LOL
Steelad has said itball! Lol 😊. Maybe also go for boiled rice rather than fried, and watch portion size.
Enjoy! 😊
My old GP surgery said to avoid anything in sticky sauces and stick to stir fried things also lower fat meat so no pork or duck. So chow mein, fried rice m, curry etc I had them regularly, twice a week and still managed to lose.
Hope that helps.
Minniewinny posted this slow coooked sweet and sour pork, a while back. I made it and will make it again...
Hi Thanks for that it's a great help. Good luck to everyone keep postive
Hope this helps!

Wow to the prawn balls - haven't had them for a very long time and looks like I won't be having them again for a very long time lol.
This is really useful Pineapple, thank you for going to so much trouble. We don't eat takeaway very often at all, but I shall keep this for future reference as we have birthdays coming up where a takeaway may be the requested meal.
Do you mean from the Chinese restaurant, or stuff you make yourself?
I would go for the crispy duck (although go easy on the sauce - often has sugar added). Stir-fried veg if they have them.
Unfortunately most of what you get in "Chinese" restaurants really isn't very Chinese. Lots of gloopy sauces full of sugar and starch, plus mountains of white rice, equals extra flab. An actual Chinese meal typically consists of several portions of vegetables, dofu, eggs, meat, and a small bowl of rice. Well worth getting a book on the subject - broadly speaking, it's a healthy way of eating.
You could always try a prawn fondue, not in oil but in a veg stock. There are also all kinds of steamed things in filo pastry, you can fill them with minced meat and finely chopped veg and spices and steam the parcels. Good luck!
