Walked 8587 steps . 4.41 miles. Have ate healthy all day. Right now sitting of snacks and so here I am again at my down fall and a fight with myself until bed time. Sweet snacks, savoury snacks...makes no difference.....just snacking is what beats me and I am so tired of the fight.

Don't have snacks in the house, ollio, if you can't resist them.

Whenever you feel a snack attack coming on, take yourself off for another walk, or get into a bath, or paint your finger nails, or put a face mask on. In fact, anything that will distract you.

The longer you resist, the easier it gets! Hang on in there, you're doing brilliantly! :)

Unfortunately for me, I can`t avoid having junk food in the house. My husband works shifts and there are 2 teenagers still at home. However, I have asked them to put them out of my sight.....and they have. I went to see a friend and that helped loads but I think you have nailed it with distraction! When I was out I did not think about food once. Thanks.

8587 steps is a brilliant result. Well done.

Whatever you are doing that's making you think about snacks. Stop. Now. 🙂 Go and do something different. Do you do anything crafty? Do you have House plants that need repotting? A crossword? On-line Scrabble game? Cupboard you want to clear? Go for it. 🙂

You need a distraction! Reading, playing computer games? Drawing? Writing? Anything that takes your mind off of it :)

Just think, for every evening you don't give in, you're proving that you don't NEED those snacks. You don't need them and they don't control you.

Maybe you should get rid of all the bad food you have to snack on that's bad. I can't say enough how important that is if you struggle to control your temptations: If it isn't there it can't tempt you :)

I tend to plan a snack into my calorie allowance. So I don't have to go from dinner at 7 until breakfast without anything. I will have a yoghurt or piece of fruit at about half nine if I feel I need it :) if you feel like you'll given in and eat all of the wrong snacks then maybe this wouldn't work for you, but just a thought :)

If I do ever have a snack I make it part of my calorie intake. If I don't have any calories I don't have the snack. If you can't control the snacks at all you shouldn't even have them in the house. Get rid of them, even if you have to give them to someone else.

What do you usually have for dinner, ollio? Depending on what you eat and what time, it can cause a person to get hungry before bed. I have a snack before bed so my blood sugars don't drop low while sleeping, but if my blood sugars are under 200, I have a yogurt with a 30 gram protein bar. Anything above 200, I just eat the bar and go to bed.
