I am having counselling and it is reAlly helping me with a lot of issues around my family, my eating etc.

Hope you don't mind me suggesting it. It's just an idea. All the best.

Why not get competitive and prove to the rest of them you can do it too! (His success might just be the push that you need)? You are just as capable as he is of losing weight.

Get yourself an online calorie counter and log your food and drink. Keep busy and active...walk more, cycle, swim...whatever you enjoy.

Look at what motivates you....new clothes? a holiday next year? A forthcoming birthday or wedding? My motivation was to get light enough to ride again, to lose the pain in my knees and to feel a bit younger. What is your dream? Share it with us - we will all encourage you!

Hi Sue

I Started by thinking of my health than weight. Take your mind off the weight and think of the side effects of obesity .

I then motivated myself by watching secret eaters on TVs as I am a secret eater myself

I " frightened " myself by watching obese USA etc etc and went off food by watching diners drive ins and dives. The greasy food made me feel sick by just looking at it

The large quantities they eat made me feel sick.

I stopped wTching Jamie and Nigella they made me hungry

I can go on and on and on.....

Hi and welcome also well done on day 3 going ok.👍

This is a change for life so take it easy, no pressure, give yourself little goals. I am putting away £1 for every 1lb I lose so when I lose 4.5 stone I will have £63 to buy something nice to remember my journey. I will still have some to lose after but this is where I want to get to first.

Start by asking your brother for tips, help and encouragement. Has he still got some to lose? If so you could help each other. If you are still living at home tell your mum and dad what you want to do. Have you any Christmas parties to go to? if so why not make your first target to lose 1/2 stone by the winter equinox (22nd Dec) one is being run on here take a look at the pinned posts section and join if you wish.

I have been on so many fad diets and being on here has been the only one I have stuck to. Download the 12 week plan it actually gets you thinking differently about foods. Good Luck you can do this we will help but involve your family too, asking your brother for advice will make him feel good and wanted and it's a venture you could both share together.😊⭐️

Well, all my family are thinner than me and I am the shortest - so not a good place to be.

I find that because I am the only one that really needs to diet, it makes it very hard to stay focussed and say no to things that everyone else is enjoying. But I am introducing healthier eating at home and Mr Tiggy just has a bigger portion or adds a few chips.

It is difficult and I find that this forum is such a big help. It gives loads of tips and the guys on here are so supportive especially when you have a bad day.

Always take it one day at a time. If you slip up put it behind you and focus on the next day. You're doing this for you and not for anyone else.

Good luck.
