Hi! Welcome to the site! I would recommend you to follow the NHS 12 week programme and to use an app on your phone to keep track of your daily caloric intake (My Fitness Pal or FatSecret). Good luck!

A great place to start is the nhs 12 week plan. Also download an app that helps you track your calories i use myfitnesspal but there are others find one that you find easy to use. Break it down into smaller goals maybe 7lbs at a time to make it more manageble and find ways to increase your activity. Good luck hope you find the support and motivation on this site that i do

can i suggest the slim-fast diet it worked for me since ive been on it i've lost two ans half stones in just three months.

Hi Gill, I am on the 12 week NHS . It really works for me. It is a weight loss program which teaches you good eating habits. It guides you. It is better for your health to loose slowly but surely. I had tried numerous diets in the past and it was a waste of time and money. Of course At the time I lost weight quickly but put it back as quickly and more. NHS is different is that it helps you to change your eating ways and you will feel fit and healthy in the process. Personally I do not want to be a gym junkie. I follow couch to 5 K, do a little bit of strenght and flex and some cardio (all on the NHS website) and iTunes) , and will start Pushbike riding in the country next week and enjoy every minute of it while in the fresh air and smelling the flowers. Now, how good is that
