Ive tried all diets but my problem is I'm on my own all the time and I get bored and lonely so I eat. I have started running and finished the C25K but i've actually put weight on not lost any of it.
Any suggestions please.

Did you take your body measurements before you started, as muscle weighs more than fat so would explain why you've gained weight, but you should have lost inches!
If you didn't, get a tape measure and measure all the bits we don't want measuring! bust, waist, hips, and even both arms and legs!! I marked the 1st measurements of each part on thhe tape measure, so that when you check each week you have it there to see how much you've lost, rather than writing it in a book and forgetting where you've put the book.
Buy a popcorn maker and make some plain popcorn up to snack on or chop some celery or carrot strips, i know boring, thats why i said plain popcorn 1st!!
Well done with the c25K and also identifying the triggers to your weight management (boredom)
It was an official photo taken at a running event this summer that gave me the push I needed this summer - I was wearing a baggy t-shift to hide the flab and my hair tied up and my head looked like it belonged to a different body I was so swollen and fat
I've has success with the 5:2 plan - restricting calories and 2 days a week has taught me to say no to myself. Even on days where there is no restriction I say no to snacks. I have 3 regular sized meals, leave some on the plate if I'm full or take a smaller portion in the first place and only eat between meals if I'm really (rumbly tum) hungry.
It takes discipline but any 'diet' you try will and I never had any will power before.
What are you planning to do to lose weight and have you tried anything before?
HI Dee yes i watched the 5:2 docu last night so i'm going to start that today. That way at least I'm doing myself some good and all i have to think is I can have that tomorrow if I still want it. Ive succeeded on ww and slimming world but really cant afford that atm and I hate cooking so its a problem when it come to meals.
Well I did it. However... I was soo hungry by bed time I couldn't sleep and to top it all my run this morning was dire. I expect it was because I hadn't eaten therfore no energy. Does anyone else do 5:2 and run? Any suggestions? Should I run on fast days as I've fueld up the day before?
That gets easier the going to bed hungry thing mainly as you stop being hungry. I find a cuppa before bed sends me off. I struggled yesterday but I'd done a 12 hour shift at work then Christmas supermarket shop I was starving when did you run? I find it's ok in the morning on a fast day but I've had a couple of light headed episodes in the evening. I mostly run on non-fast days but only because of my work schedule. Have you got Facebook? We've got a really good C25K support group there. Deb
Hi, it was a photo I saw of myself that encouraged me to diet , that was 10 weeks ago , I've lost 15lbs, was 17lb but I had a holiday in America and put a few pounds on. I have been using My Fitness Pal app , it's great , you log what you eat and you know how many calories you have . It also works out if your diet is balanced getting the right proportion of protein, carbs and fat. The programme is tailored to you and your weight loss goals.
Having it there all logged down, makes you realise what foods are good and how you can eat more healthy food for less calories.
I am dreading Christmas to be honest, but plan to stay on the diet till Christmas eve, in the evening when I will crack open the baileys. I will get back on it though day after Boxing Day. Once you start and get results it becomes addictive.
Good luck, if you do start using it , I will help all I can, there's even an option to add friends on the App, so,you can help each other.
I have been using this but it just makes me more disgusted at myself as I realise what crap i'm eating …( However I watched the documentary on 5:2 last night and i realised what damage i'm doing to myself. So 5:2 starting from today.
