Ive really been enjoying tofu dipped in panko crumbs. Here is an alternative recipe using cornmeal or polenta as a gluten free option.

Thank you Ali and that does look yummyπ
I bought mine in sainsburys. You can also buy them on Amazon too but yes a Japanese shop would be ideal. Do you have one nearby? ..,You can make a curry paste for example and dip the tofu in it then in the crumbs serve it with a curry. Or a barbecue or tomato type sauce and then dip it in the crumbs. Itβs very versatile. It does burn very quickly just to warn you. Sometimes I fry it quickly then briefly put it in the oven. Itβs a tofu game changer. You can also do a similar thing but use sweet potato. I sprinkled them on top of a baked cauliflower yesterday for a few minutes at the end π
sometimes I put it in the oven other times just fry it. I think Iβd put it in the oven if when I shallow fry it all the oil has been soaked up and I donβt want to add more oil but want a browner finish. Really be careful though. One minute itβs fine and the next it burnt. Good luck! π
