What is our thought on tinned/dried fruit?

I want to make a smoothie but we're low on fresh fruit. If I have a back up of tinned/dry fruit what are the implications health/vegan wise?

BPA is found in tinned food so is not the healthiest option but to have it occasionally probably won’t harm you. Some of the nutrients are decreased in the canning process as well so not as good as fresh and also they tend to have added sugar.

Dried fruit is higher in sugar and calories than in its fresh form and if it’s dried I think you may possibly tend to eat more of it so that’s something to keep an eye on.

I think fresh fruit is the way to go but canned or dried is fine occasionally.
