Vegan diet for dogs?

I have recently switched to a whole food plant based diet and was wondering if there was a vegan dog food on sale that doesn’t cost the earth ?

Any recommendations would be really appreciated , thank you

Hi yes there is a vegan dog food. I looked into this a few months ago. A bit odd as I haven’t even got a dog but it interests me. From what I know a dog can have a vegan diet but a cat cannot as apparently it has to eat meat.

After I researched into this I thought it would probably be just as easy to make your own dogs food yourself at least you then know what’s in it.

If you would like to buy vegan dog food you can definately buy it On line 🙂🌱🐕

Hi jens58, it was on the local news yesterday that Anne Heritage has written a book about her collie who lived to a fantastic age of 25 on a vegan diet, Bramble is in the Guinness book of records for longevity, so here's a couple of links:

I have to agree with Ali over making your own and I can just imagine her partner coming home and saying hey what was that you were making as it tasted amazing... a different spin on, your dinners in the dog...🐶
