Hi John think I may have mentioned this before . I

Live in the Scottish Borders Region . I have requested on several occasions a referral to see my consultant a Dr D.Kluth who requested I ask my local doctor to be referred to the Edinburgh Royal infirmary . But was told this could not be done as the royal infirmary is in the Lothian region.

I then requested the same referral from my Rhumotologist in the Borders General Hospital again it was turned down . I asked why this was and told due to the costs it could not be done due to budget cuts with in the NHS.

I have again been in touch with Dr Kluth and can't beleave it's came down to funds.

We have sent letters of the request to our local M.P. still awaiting an answer but don't hold out much hope

Sign of the times I am afraid to say money before health
