I think I will have to send Santa a list of the things I want for Christmas.

I think if John could wish it for everyone he would.. including himself.. but I am not sure his magic works that far... :-(

This is tricky in these days of central heating and wood-burning stoves with closed doors. So I have a magic master key that opens every door. I hope your comments were nothing to do with my, er, excess girth!!

heaven forfend!

it's just that old song

When Santa got stuck up the chimney

He began to shout

"My beard is black

There's soot in my sack,

My nose is tickly too!"

When Santa got stuck up the chimney

Atchoo! atchoo!...

ATCHOO!

regards,

sandra [the children @ nursery thought it was "when sandra"

Wish I had the answer. I usually cook Christmas dinner (after mucking out & feeding the reindeer of course) and you know how it is, people come round whilst you're in the middle of cooking & you have to have a drink with them, then the guests arrive & ditto again etc. So, like you, I have been known to "nod off" half way through Christmas dinner - to the disgust of our grand-daughters. But I always think I've had a good time!
