An almost impossible question to answer as every patient is different but in my case, as a WG/GWP patient, it's typically been a couple of months before I've felt any significant physical improvement. On paper I was 'well' within a couple of weeks but as so many of us are aware, blood tests can be misleading to say the least. By the time I had my six monthly follow up infusion it was difficult to appreciate why I needed it as I was so much better but the Addenbrookes regime of every six months for two years does appear to significantly reduce the risk of flares and as far as I'm aware they no longer advocate the 'wait and see' approach for repeat infusions. I sincerely hope your treatment is soon effective.

i had my first two about 10 weeks ago,and dont really feel any different.

my blood tests have also improved, but im still getting infections and fatigue and generally dont feel any different.

my consultant tells me to be patient and things will improve, hope they do for you also.

I have Rituximab every 6 months and usually feel better within a few weeks to a month. The first week or so I feel flu like and have headaches, but these soon pass. On some occasions I have not felt any benefits at all with the infusion. I have been having the infusions for over 4 years now. I do not take any other drugs to keep me in remission.

Hope you start to feel better soon.

Jill

Thanks for the info it's given me a bit more confidence I feel a tad better but still feel drained and washed out I'm hoping this treatment will work, I will just have to be patient as I wasn't to sure on how long it would take to work.
