Muscle pain

Hi. I've developed upper arm uncle pain which is more noticeable when I reach out for something.

I have GPA and have been in remission for a few years now.

I just wondered if anyone with GPA has these symptoms and if it could be the start of a flare.

I to have GPA and also have difficulty reaching up to cupboards etc . Unfortunately I also have Osteoarthritis which complicates matters . When I was first diagnosed I couldnt raise my arms over my head, that and the rash on my legs was an indicater to the Rheumatologist that maybe I had vasculitis and the usual tests quickly followed. I am in remission at present but still have problems with my arms . I think we all worry about flares its hard not to , but as long as blood tests are ok we have to take it all in our stride . Take care and stay safe Jan 22

Many thanks Jan. It is hard to distinguish what's a flare and what's not that's why I wondered if anyone with GPA had those symptoms. It was interesting to know that was one of your symptoms. The muscle pain seems to be at the top of my buttocks too and getting worse.

GPA affected my sinuses and lungs initially and I was just starting with a lower leg rash. I was very lucky to be diagnosed quickly.

I have my blood tests Thursday and consultation the following week said hopefully that will shred some light on what it might, or might not, be.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated.

Many thanks Wagner, although I hadn't experienced muscle pain before I can certainly relate to the fatigue. It seems a common factor in those with GPA doesn't it. Interesting to know you have similar muscle pain though so perhaps it's related to GPA. It's difficult to know. I shall mention it at my next consultation. Your reply is much appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for replying buster1502. The muscle pain is new for me. I'm also getting some joint pain., so looks like it's possibly related to GPA. ☹️Could be worse though.

Take care
