A message from Emma Caldwell Innov8 Conferences "When I was first given the diagnoses of Kira's (my daughter's) illness as HSP I was at first relived that it finally had a name but then I was very scared as I had never heard of this illness before. When I started to read up on HSP and discovered that it was Vasculitis I came across the fantastic Charity Vasculitis UK. Whenever times were hard, myself and my husband would turned to VUK for help and advise and we were never disappointed. This is the reason behind us holding the Vasculitis Patient Symposium on 4th March in Manchester. Apart from the fantastic work that all the volunteers do at VUK there is nowhere for people will Vasculitis and their families to turn, to get the answers, help and advice that they so desperately need. The Patient Symposium is designed to have patients, doctors and their families all in the same room to discuss all types of Vasculitis and the treatments that are available. There is also a section just for children so they have a place to meet other children with Vasculitis or live with someone that has vasculitis so they can share their stories and experiences whilst having fun and no longer feel alone.
