Hi Janey,

You will need to give us more information than that. It is an auto antibody associated with some variants of Vasculitis but a positive result doesn't necessarily mean you have Vasculitis, other disease can make it positive as well.

What symptoms do you have and why was it tested in the first place ( it's a specialised blood test ).?

Hi keyes. Hi was suffering with trapped nerve at bottom on spine with budge then my knee n feet ankles was swelling then my shoulder came up with hard lumps and very pain full and would go done after couple of days then bk up and so would back lost use of my. Right leg so know on crutchers rheumatology asked for bloods to done and came bk p, anca positive and Fibromyalgla.thankyou

Do you see a Rheumatologist with experience of treating Vasculitis?

Are they doing further tests? When is your next appt?

Am waiting on nother appointment as they said didn't feel I needed to see them and said could see pain management and Fyso but pyso and my doctor said thay feel I warrant more investigation so been waitibg 4weeks so far fell like am just being past around and thsy don't care not them. I'm pain and I was my life back 8months and still not any proper answers

Feel free to phone or e mail the VUK helpline. If they haven't organised another appt they obviously don't think that the p ANCA result is significant.

I think you need a second opinion from a Dr who has Vasculitis experience. If you phone the helpline we can point you in the right direction.

Thank you for your help and yes will give them a ring for Deffo 8months n still no were xx
