This is available on the VUK website. It might be helpful.. But I am sure others who have been overseas will offer some advice too :-)

I use Direct Travel which is an AIG policy, you can do it all on line and see the cost before wishing to go ahead, this is the site address: direct-travel.co.uk/ if I remember you need to go into Health Declaration and type in the condition, which will ask further questions and then give you a quote. You can make it cheaper by stating you do not want certain conditions covered (that's my route) as I mainly want it for cancellation, lost baggage or accident. If you want Accident cover tick the box for the and there is another box to tick incase of another event? Hope this may be of help

Although not the same condition I have used Virgin Travel Insurance for a reasonable premium - so many will not cover at all.

I have CNSV and allcleartravel insured me to go to Holland. It was pretty reasonable too. Hope this helps,

Hi Simmonds .

I had a holiday to NewZealand in 2012 I was quoted over £1700 for insurance . I spoke to my doctor he told me if I went without it would be up to myself . I did go with out . I took an infection in NZ the cost to get attention . Doctors appointment 70 dollars cost prescription 5dollars . Had to visit chemist for more meds cost free . So all I all I saved possible £1600 by not having it . But that was just my experience .

Thanks Bill, I think somwhere like NZ where the hospitals are brilliant as we lived there for a bit you can afford to take that risk, however, other countries not so sure so still seeking the insurance.

many thanks

I have used staysure for last couple of holidays as they were cheaper than the previous company I'd used (sorry cant remember you that was).

Their telephone number is 0844 692 8444
