experience on ClinicalTrials.gov?

If you have looked for a trial on clinicaltrials.gov, what would you recommend to improve the experience? Despite some recent attempts to upgrade the experience, the general consensus seems to be it is still user-unfriendly. What would you suggest to make the experience better?

Many trials listed have concealed the name and location of the hospitals participating in the trial. Only the name of the Pharma company sponsor is listed and sometimes the zip code of the hospital. The best, most convenient listings include the full name of the hospital and the contact info for a key individual on staff at the hospital.

Adding a left side filter column like Amazon uses, suggesting filters that can be used to narrow down / reduce the quantity of results- Amazon also shows how many listings fit into that criteria.

Where drug names or disease names have multiple spellings and abbreviations, it helps to have the search feature be smart enough to suggest correct spellings and or synonyms with a check box to accept the suggestion.

Thanks - there are some initiatives that are attempting to bring all three things you suggest to ct.gov or a site that overlays on top of it!

My only advise would be to see if a local medical facility is part of the trial. Traveling to a distant facility one per month can take a lot out of you. Beside using a local doctor may feel more familiar.

I started out at Johns Hopkins, two hours away. after surgery I switched to my local hospital and found that treatments are less stressful without that drive.
