Does anyone know the correct conditions for the blood mast cell tryptase to be performed correctly. I heard it had to be temperature controlled and handled carefully to get the correct result.
I just had blood taken in a clotted blood sample which will be sent to liverpool for testing IgE's but they included in that sample enough blood for the tryptase and told me it was fine. They had never heard of this test before either!
Thank you for your help.

I've had mine tested several times and it's just been a straight forward blood test. No special requirements or conditions have been mentioned.Only time I've been told anything like that was for a skin biopsy.
