I have found the product 4head useful in relieving headaches. It is a menthol stick to rub across forehead. Also staying hydrated, drinking water, in small amounts, regularly. For stomach aches, peppermint tea, and or peppermint oil capsules, Colpermin. Or ginger tea.

The aches and pains can be more of a problem. Warm salt baths, either Epsom salts for muscle and joint pain, or Magnesium flakes in the warm bath, unless my skin is irritated, then I use Dead Sea salt.

Most useful for me when I feel symptoms of head ache, stomach ache, and pain generally is to distract myself. Sometimes by listening to music, or some sort of craft or jigsaw. In extreme discomfort I opt for lying back and taking my mind to somewhere more comfortable.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks. I will try 4head, use to use it years ago. I do occasionally have Peppermint tea, must admit I go for the paracetamol due to convenience.

Will try more baths.

Generally the pain is distracting me when I am focused so not sure other activities will help but perhaps I need to do another activity.

Thanks for the advice.

The only pain relief medication I can take is paracetamol so I cannot help there but a chronic pain I have had when I lay down, since breaking ribs 18 months ago is soothed somewhat by Biofreeze (I use the roll-on). You would need to be okay with menthol though. I tried a tiny amount first and I am fine with it. I have used it on shoulder muscle pain as well with some success. It was recommended by a pharmacist when most of the other pain relief sprays and gels were a no-no with several of the other medications I take.

Thanks I will give it ago. Have used similar products when I have had a bad back.

HiI was advised Extoricoxib (tradename Arcoxia) as an alternative to NSAIDS by MCAS specialist. May be worth discussing with your GP or Immunologist.

Stomach pain is one to think about in more detail since that can be from various sources. I need both an H2 blocker (now famotidine) and a PPI (lansoprazole for me) to keep the stomach acid under control with my mastocytosis. And on top of that I sometimes also need gaviscon. I found Nalcrom a help for a number of years for more crampy intestinal pain-- though that doesn't help quickly. It can take a few weeks to start working. (I eventually found it caused symptoms in my stomach actually, rather than helping the intestines, so I stopped.) These days when my stomach swells up so I look pregnant and hurts I tend to revert to eating only white rice for a day and take an extra H2 blocker and H1 blocker and it tends to settle. Sorry you're having pain : (.
