I have a question in regards to the recipient and the donor. I dont know if this has ever happend before and it may seem unorthodox do to so. My question is:
Is the recipient allowed to reject the donors kidney? Meaning to say, if my donor found a matching kidney to do the swap, am I entilited to not let that donor donate? As in I do not want any part of this persons help.
I know this is highly not advisible due to the circmstances of ones health however, I would like to know if there is an option for the recipient to decline help from the donor.
Thank you.

Yes, you can reject a donor's kidney and, if that potential donor finds another person interested in being your donor, you can reject that one too. Not only can you reject donors, donors can also reject you at any point. There is no bribing, no hostage taking, or other under the table deals - that's illegal. Keep in mind, the transplant center will conduct numerous tests on anyone interested in being a donor as well as on you and will have the final decision to actually perform the necessary operations on both you and your donor. Until those procedures are under way, however, all parties can cancel or say "no" at any time - the the transplant team, the donor, and you.
BTW: you may already know this, but there is a separate transplant coordinator for the donor, and they are not allowed to talk to you nor is the donor allowed to talk to your transplant coordinator. You do not find out if they passed whatever test was performed, etc. Only YOUR transplant coordinator and the DONOR transplant coordinator can speak to each other.
If someone (a coworker, friend, acquaintance) is offering to be tested as a donor in a “Kidney Paired Donation” to help you, and you want to talk to somebody at your Transplant Hospital about not wanting to let that person participate in the Swap, tell your transplant coordinator that you do not want to allow (______name of donor________) in the donor trade. It’s called a “ Kidney Paired Donation.”
