Hair loss/thinning

Hi,

I have definitely noticed my hair has really thinner. I have tried taking biotin, using biotin shampoo. I’ve noticed it’s mainly on the top of my head. What remedies if any has anyone tried. I welcome suggestions.

Hey,ive had the same experience & like you used same product and pills which does prevent further hair loss. Zinc is also very good. All above was passed by renal consultant. As you'll be aware we've got to be ultra careful what we take for it def is the prograf for me that caused hair loss/thinning. Hope it settles down with time which i'm sure it will as did mine. Hi Dara, I had the same thing happen to me after an SPK transplant, I am quite vain to say the least so hair loss was an absolute no for me, I spoke to my consultant who said simply that’s it’s due to the fact I’m taking tacrolimus and it’s quite normal, NORMAL I thought I said I shouldn’t have to pay the price of going bald just because I managed to get a transplant! She said well it shouldn’t be such a big thing as you are 51 and could start balding soon anyway. With a bit of chat back and forth , i said I feel that strongly about it and if I had known I would of refused the transplant , long story short the tacrolimus takes a something out of your blood stream so she gave me a prescription that would put it back, and it worked, took about 4-6 weeks. It’s a powder called magnaspartate 243 mg powder, good luck
