Hi there yes I do but think a lot of it is down to all the medication . I’ve had my kidney 24 years & still get palpitations. It’s horrible it does make u very jumpy .

Thank you yes i think a lot of it is meds but my consultant says it isn't ? I've had usual checks done nothing been found but just annoying at times 😊

I’m on dialysis and have AF, (atrial fibrillation) or palpitations. I’ve narrowed it down to what could trigger it. Coffee, chocolate but the main trigger is dehydration. It’s annoying and uncomfortable lasting from 1-2 hours up to 8-10. When the rhythm gets back to normal, my blood pressure takes a massive dive. Pain in the a**e!

I had this recently - an obvious skipped heart beat. I'd suggest getting a simple heart rate app on your phone so you can see if there is a pattern and if it actually a skipped beat as it helps you explain what is happening and gives you a graph to show when you are talking to a specialist. My ecg showed no issues as it wasn't happening at the time. They did a 24-hour heart monitor which showed the issue clearly. In my case it was actually a magnesium deficiency that we picked up with a blood test (not even massively deficient), which was simple to fix with a magnesium tablet. It wasn't a direct side-effect of the drugs, but it the low magnesium was presumable caused by the meds.

Worth looking into if they haven't checked - good luck!

Yes I've just been given a 5 day dose of magnesium because it was a little on the low side & I'm waiting for a 24 hour heart rate monitor to be fitted so hopefully we.ll get to the bottom of it thank you. 😊

Hopefully that will sort it out for you! I had no idea something so simple could have such a bit impact. I do find my heart rate varies a lot - that is probably the drugs, but at least it isn't literally skipping a beat :)
