I am 1 year and 10 months post kidney transplant from a live donor.
Last week I had 2 CT scans due to my ongoing bouts of excessive sweating and bouts of fatigue. The results came back normal except for one. This one stated that I had severe coronary arterial calcification. My blood work has always been excellent. The medical team has been amazed. My doctor even asked me what I did to be so healthy. My diet is vegan and I exercise at least 5 days a week for 45 minutes to an hour. I am on 5 mg of Prednisone and 4 mg of Envarsus (Tacro) daily.
I am shocked and scared of this diagnosis. I will have new blood work done in 3 weeks. Until then I shit hear shocked not knowing my future.
Has anyone experienced anything like this ?

Hi I was 28mnth post kidney/ pancreas transplant when I had three strokes. Luckily with no lasting major problems. The only thing was I was becoming breathless when walking on the incline. Long story short I ended up in A+E where I was told I had a infection in my heart sack and Pneumonia. I needed open heart surgery to repair all my arterys. 18mnth down the line I'm still hear have good days and bad, but have accepted my condition. I try to live my life to the full and am a fighter don't let it get me down. I'm a survivor. X
