does anybody experience sensation of hearing footsteps as they walk - getting worse for me . As I walk I hear and feel each footstep echoing through one ear - makes you very aware of walking straight and confused as to where you are going - worse when walking alone - if chatting to someone as walking not conscious of sound of steps - urghhhh !!

Hi Elane, among my many tinnitus problems I'm pretty sure ETD is one of them. Can I ask how your ETD problem was resolved. Did it just clear up, did you have meds or any other intervention?Would be interested to know.

Thanking you in advance.

Cheers.

Hi Untold. I initially saline nasal sprays, steaming to help, and eventually the ear popper device. I’ve got blurred memories of what exactly happened I’m afraid. I went to private ENT and was gutted when he said nothing could be done or he couldn’t find anything wrong. Though I was certain it was EDT! anyhow I kept using these treatments for a few months and symptoms still there. I think I just gave up and tried to go to work and function as such. It went after 12 months I’d say but it was a gradual process

Sometimes I hear noises that seem to be coming from a different direction and then there is nothing there and I find that confusing too!
