Eustachian tube dysfunction

Hi all.

Long story short I have had a hissing tinnitus sound in my left ear for past 3 months. Also with muffled hearing and sensitive to sound and no sound can be uncomfortable.

I also have recently started getting a fluttering/crunching/popping sound when I yawn or burp.

Dr thinks ETD. My anxiety is through the roof. They had started me on a steroid nasal spray which I have been using psst 2 weeks and steaming 2/3 times a day. I feel like I'm losing hope. And I'm scared that its something else causing these symptoms. Anyone else suffered from etd can shed any light or advice? It's making me miserable

I had ETD following an ear infection, it gradually subsided after a couple of weeks & thankfully didn’t come back when I had a cold this week. I still have the tinnitus.

Sorry you are going through this. I was diagnosed with PETD ten years ago following a large rapid weight loss. Feels like I went up in a plane and never came down, permanent never goes away. Also white noise emanates from ears making my declining hearing worse without hearing devices which allow me to function. Hope you find relief
