So my Christmas present was a spike in my Tinnitus. It seem to lower then spike again until New Year when the spike has remained. Its driving me nuts. I had made an appt with Audiology dept but to be honest what can they do?
I find reading about Tinnitus & people's experience quite overwhelming. So much info & a lot contradictory & more suited to individuals. There seems to be no real answer to this misery.
I've had a restless night & I'm exhausted. I'm heading back to bed to listen to some soothing sounds to drown this wretched noise out. Is there any updates which may help? Something real? I believe I obtained this curse due to hearing loss in same ear. The thought as I age & my hearing deteriorates that this condition may worsens is ultra depressing.

Regardless of this, reading up about tinnitus can be overwhelming. You get faced with acres of advertising.
The medical profession knows there is no cure - just like there is no cure for many other conditions - and from what I can tell from the posts on this site some docs are dismissive.
What is affecting you isn’t necessarily the tinnitus, but it’s how you are reacting to it. There are many ways of managing these reactions; some might suit you and some not,
